How to Feel Good Every Day

“How to Feel Good Every Day”

Catchy title, I know…but is it really possible?

Is it really possible to feel good every day?

The Key to Feeling Good Every Day

The key to feeling good every day is actually very simple: make the decision every day that nothing is more important than feeling good; therefore, you will look for thoughts that feel better every day.

This also means that all of your decisions for each day are made with only one intention and criteria in mind: Does it feel good?

One of the best ways that I have found for doing this is by starting every day by setting your intention to feel good. I find it helpful to say something like “Today I want to feel good. Today nothing is more important than feeling good. Therefore, I will look for reasons to feel good today.”

Then, you are off to begin your day

How to Feel Good Every Day

After making this decision to feel good and setting your intentions for the day accordingly, here are some guidelines that I have found helpful for feeling good every day:
  • Spend more time with people who it feels good to be around (and less time with those that don’t).
  • Spend more time in conversations talking about subjects that feel good (and less time in those that don’t).
  • Spend more time watching television programs, movies, videos, etc. that feel good (and less time with those that don’t).
  • Spend more time listening to music, radio programs, podcasts, etc. that feel good (and less time with those that don’t).
  • Spend more time reading magazines, books, articles, blogs, etc. that feel good to read (and less time buying, reading, and subscribing to those that don’t).
  • Whenever thinking about the past, spend more time recalling people, thoughts, and experiences that felt good (and less time with all of those that don’t).
  • Whenever imagining or thinking about the future, spend more time imagining people, words, images, and experiences that feel good (and less time with all of those that don’t).
I think you get the idea…

The Power of Feeling Good Every Day

How powerful is it to choose to feel good every day?
“You have your hand on the switch. You are the allower or the resister. And your emotions tell you which you're doing right now. It's easy once you understand the formula: When you feel good, you're allowing good. When you don't feel good, you are not allowing good. We didn't say, when you feel good you are allowing good, and when you feel bad you are allowing bad (although it may translate into your experience in that way). There is only a Source of Well-being - - which you are allowing or not.” - Abraham-Hicks
Sounds simple, right?

The bottom line is that we each have the power to feel good right now. Furthermore, we always have this power and we always will. However, to fully activate this power, we must first make the conscious choice to feel good every day.

Think about it…is there a better, more satisfying choice than choosing to feel good every day? If there is, I have yet to find one.

How to Overcome Obstacles to Feeling Good Every Day

I think that most us can agree that feeling good…well, feels really good.

But, what happens when you hit one of those “bumps” on your path (you know the ones) that doesn’t feel so good? What do you do then?
“No matter what the issue is, don't try to justify why you don't feel good. And don't try to justify why you should feel differently. Don't try to blame whatever it is you think the reason is that's keeping you from feeling good. All of that is wasted effort. Just try to feel better right now.
It might take some diligence at first. Keep saying to the Universe, ‘I want to find something that makes me feel good, I want to find something that makes me feel good.’ If I'm holding that intent, and I really, really mean it, the Universe will yield to me, sooner than later, something that makes me feel good - - and I will feel the relief and the release of feeling better.

Life is about the joy factor. And the joy factor is about the alignment factor. And the alignment factor is about the choice of thoughts factor.” – Abraham-Hicks

Again, the mindset to develop and maintain here is one that says “there is nothing more important than feeling good. Period.”

However, it should be pointed out that having this mindset does not mean getting rid of things that don’t feel good to you. That is not possible…so don’t even waste your time or energy attempting to do this. It will only lead you to frustration, disappointment, and other feelings that don’t feel good.

Rather, it is all about learning to become a “sifter” in your life to find the things that do feel good to you. And, it all begins with your decision and determination to feel good, no matter what.

The Importance of Feeling Good Every Day

So, why am I making such a big deal about the importance of feeling good every day?

Where are all of these “feel good” thoughts and the “feel good” mindset leading you?

Simple. It leads to all of the things in life that you truly want and desire, the life of your GREATEST joy.
“The reason you want every single thing that you want, is because you think you will feel really good when you get there. But, if you don't feel really good on your way to there, you can't get there. You have to be satisfied with what is - while you're reaching for more.” – Abraham-Hicks
